Tickets

History happens in all weather and so do Newport History Tours.

Tickets should be purchased online in advance of the tour to guarantee availability.

Walking tours depart outside of the Museum of Newport History at the Brick Market, located at the foot of Washington Square, 127 Thames Street, Newport RI. Attendees should look for a sandwich board sign indicating where to check in with the guide and depart for the tour to the north of the building near the flagpole.

Tours last approximately 60-90 minutes, depending upon the tour, and are weather permitting.

  • Walking Tours: $20 per person, $15 Newport Historical Society members, active duty and retired military with ID; $10 for children ages 5-12. Tickets for the Rum & Revolution Tour with Rum Tasting cost $40 per person, $35 for NHS members; a reproduction rum ration cup is available with a combo ticket for an additional fee.
  • Colony House, Great Friends Meeting House, Seventh Day Baptist Meeting House or Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House Site Tour: $20 per person, $15 for Newport Historical Society members. Subject to guide and site availability; please call 401.841.8770 in advance.
  • Museum of Newport History: Recommended admission $5 per person, $2 for children ages 5-12.
